Rich people with too much money to spend will build their holiday homes high up on the hills overlooking the beach, while the not so rich people will go to the beach and look at these houses up at Repulse Bay. Then the tourists will go to the hills to take pictures of the houses and then go to the beach to take pictures of the locals looking at the houses.
Why would they call the place Repulse Bay? Is it supposed to be some scam to try to get people away from the area and keep all the sunny beachy goodness all for themselves?
Then there was Stanley Market to empty all the change out of the tourists. Just walking along the promenade feels like any beach resort. The little shops along the way would try to attract your attention to the usual touristwares. It was such a letdown, but then again, if you want to buy some 'I love Hong Kong' t-shirt or some embroidered toiletroll holder made in China, this would be the place!
So far, Hong Kong has been great. I went to Ladies' Market yesterday and got cheap drama series boxsets hahahahahahaha!! I am so happy I am here in this part of the world *kiss ground*.
I just need friends. Shatin is a social suicide compared to say Kowloon and Hong Kong Central. There are only married families here. How am I going to find a rich man to marry find nice friends?
So all the wonderful people out there, do come and be my friend. I have chocolate soya milk to share (they sure like soya milk here) and I can cook instant noodles.
